How to check iPhone serial number, EID or IMEI

Every iPhone has a unique serial number, EID, and IMEI/MEID, which can be useful for support, repairs, or unlocking your device. Here’s how you can locate them.
How to find EID, or IMEI (Serial Number) on iPhone through settings
- Step 1: Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Step 2: Tap General, then select About.
- Step 3: Scroll down to find your Serial Number, EID, IMEI/MEID, and ICCID.
- Step 4: To copy a number, touch and hold it, then tap Copy.
How to Find IMEI/MEID (Serial Number) on iPhone Without Going to Settings
If you can't access the Settings menu, you can still find the IMEI/MEID in these places:
On the SIM Tray (for certain models)
- iPhone 13, iPhone 12, iPhone SE (2nd & 3rd Gen), iPhone 11, iPhone XS, iPhone XR, and earlier models have the IMEI/MEID printed on the SIM tray.
- iPhone 6s and later have both the serial number in Settings and the IMEI/MEID on the SIM tray.
On the Back of the iPhone (older models only)
- iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone SE (1st Gen), iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, and iPhone 5 have the IMEI/MEID engraved on the back.
On the Original Packaging
- If you still have the original iPhone box, check the barcode for the serial number, EID, and IMEI/MEID.
How to Find Your iPhone’s Serial Number or IMEI/MEID through a Computer
If your iPhone is unavailable, you can find its serial number, EID, or IMEI/MEID on a Mac or PC:
- Step 1: Connect your iPhone to your computer.
- Step 2: On a Mac with macOS Catalina or later, open Finder.
- Step 3: On a Mac with macOS Mojave or earlier or a PC, open iTunes.
- Step 4: Select your iPhone.
- Step 5: In Finder, click General > Phone Number to view the EID, IMEI/MEID, and ICCID.
How to Find Your iPhone’s Serial Number or IMEI/MEID Online
If you don’t have your iPhone, you can check your Apple account:
- Step 1: Go to Apple ID Account and sign in.
- Step 2: Click Devices and select your iPhone to see its serial number, EID, and IMEI/MEID.
