Apple has unveiled the latest iteration of its popular AirPods, introducing the AirPods 4. With a refined shape, Apple claims these are the “most comfortable AirPods ever.” Maintaining an open-air design, the AirPods 4 come with a significant audio quality boost and support for personalized spatial audio, offering a more immersive listening experience tailored to individual preferences.

The third-gen AirPods adopted the compact design of the AirPods Pro but lacked noise cancellation and the in-ear fit, which limited its popularity. Apple’s most recent AirPods update occurred in September 2023, when the second-generation AirPods Pro received upgrades such as a USB-C charging case and lossless audio support when paired with the Vision Pro headset.
