Recommendations before installing iOS 17 beta

I'm sure you can't wait to install iOS 17 beta on your iPhone. Before doing so, there are a few things to bear in mind:

  • Backup your device, preferably to a computer.
  • There might be apps that don’t work properly.
  • Battery life may not be as good, not to mention device performance.
  • Note that, once you upgrade to a beta version, it's really hard to downgrade to iOS 16 again.
  • You’ll receive a new beta version roughly every 15 days until the definitive version is released in September.
  • Make sure you update when each new beta version is released so that your iPhone performs better.

All these "inconveniences" are necessary. That's what a beta version is for, to discover bugs and fix them before the official launch in September.
